“If you offer your food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, then your light shall rise in the darkness and your gloom be like a noonday.” Isaiah 58:10
Our name –TROCAIRE– means COMPASSION in Gaelic. Our Outreach is here to do justice to the meaning of the name and to carry out the social mission of the Catholic Church by serving, advocating and alleviating human suffering.
Volunteers are the mainstay of our Outreach. They are trained for their ministry so they can assist those who come to us for help. Together we have the hands that serve with the hearts that care.
Our volunteers are required to have Virtus training (the protection of children and young people) and a background check.
We serve anyone residing within our parish boundaries regardless of race, religion and creed.
Proof of address and identification are needed for assistance and referrals.
Everyone is treated with dignity. Confidentiality is respected.
All services are free of charge.
